Radcliffe in “December boys”

In his forth-coming movie December Boys Daniel Radcliffe plays as an orphan once again. But in this new film Daniel does not have any magical powers unlike his first movie.

The story of the December boys is about four boys at an orphanage who get to spend their Christmas holiday at the beach.

Radcliffe plays as the oldest of four boys at an orphanage in the coming-of-age drama that is set in 1960s Australia. The younger boys compete each other to get adopted by the families they meet where as the character of Radcliffe falls hard for a local girl. With this pretty and assertive girl, Radcliffe shares cigarettes and also his first sexual encounter.

Radcliffe who just turned 18 has an opportunity to prove his capability in his latest film. Radcliffe has also shown his mettle earlier. On Ricky Gervais comedy Extras, Radcliffe did an amusing deadpan send up of his wholesome boy-wizard image last year. And earlier this year on the London stage Radcliffe appeared naked. As a disturbed stable boy in Equus he earned rave reviews which he plans to reprise it on Broadway next fall.
